How to pick a random name

Type or paste your names into the list, one per line — pasting straight from Excel or Google Sheets works fine. Choose how many names you want to draw, press Pick and watch the roll slow down onto the winner. The list saves itself in your browser, so it is still there when you come back.

Class mode is built for teachers. In this mode no name is picked twice until every name on the list has been picked once, so each student gets exactly one turn per round. The screen shows who is still in the Not yet picked pool and who is Already picked, and the Start new round button reshuffles everyone back in. Your round progress is saved in your browser, even if you close the tab.

Need to thin the list as you go? In Standard mode you can tick Remove picked names and each winner leaves the list automatically, which is handy for raffles where every entry should win at most one prize.

Every pick is decided before the animation starts, using your browser's cryptographically secure random generator. The rolling animation is purely for suspense — it can never change the outcome. Your list never leaves your device unless you deliberately create a share link.
