How to use the spin wheel

Type or paste your options into the panel next to the wheel, one per line. A list copied from Excel, Google Sheets or a Word document works as-is: line breaks become segments, blank lines are ignored and stray spaces are trimmed. The count above the box tells you how many options are on the wheel, and you can shuffle them, sort them alphabetically, strip out duplicates or clear the list with one tap. When you are happy, press Spin, click the wheel itself or hit the space bar.

The wheel slows to a stop on a single option and shows it in large type, so a room full of people can read it from the back. From there you can remove the winner and spin again for second and third place, put removed options back, or check the Results tab for the full history of the session with timestamps.

Everything is adjustable from the small gear button: five colour palettes, a spin length between three and ten seconds, confetti, sound and a one-tap way to duplicate every option. Fullscreen mode hides the panel and leaves only the title, the wheel and the Spin button, which is what you want on a classroom projector or a screen at an event.

Your wheel is saved in your browser as you type, so closing the tab and coming back later brings your list, title and settings straight back. Nothing is uploaded unless you deliberately create a share link, and the winners you draw are never stored anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Each spin asks your browser's cryptographic random generator for a number, and every remaining option has exactly the same chance. The winner is chosen before the animation starts, so the spinning you see is decoration — it cannot be steered or nudged towards a particular result.

Yes. When the result appears, choose Remove winner. The option moves to the Removed list, the wheel redraws without it and your next spin picks from the rest. You can put a single option back, or put them all back at once when you want to start over.

Yes. The Share button gives you a link that carries your options with it, plus a short fluky.com/w/ link for longer lists. Anyone who opens it sees the same wheel and can spin it. Their edits stay on their own device and never change your copy.

Yes. Fullscreen mode (the button, or the F key) shows only the title, the wheel and the Spin button at maximum size, with the space bar as a remote-friendly way to spin. Press Esc to go back to the editor.

Completely. There is no account, no download and no limit on how often you spin. You can use it in class, at work and in a paid event without asking us for permission.
