Secret Santa name generator
Type the names, press draw, and the generator hands out one private link per person – each link shows only that person's match. No self-draws, no mutual pairs, and nobody (including the organizer) ever sees the full list.
1. Your group
2. Participants
0 participants · At least 3 names. You can add yourself too.
3. Who should not draw each other (optional)
For couples, siblings, or people who always end up with each other.
4. How to share the links
I will share the links myself
You get one private link per person to send on WhatsApp, Messenger or anywhere else. No email addresses needed.
Email everyone — Add an email after a name (Nora, nora@mail.com) and we send that person their link automatically.
A draw that cannot go wrong
The generator builds one closed circle: every name gives once and receives once. That structure is why it never needs a redo – nobody draws themselves, and the last person never gets stuck with the only remaining name.
The circle is shuffled on our server with the same cryptographic random number generator browsers use for security. The order you typed the names in has no effect on the outcome.
Links instead of a shared list
One private link per person, sent by email or copied as a single message for the group chat. Each link opens a page with one name on it, plus the budget, the date and any note you set – so the rules live where people actually look.
Because there is no page showing everyone, the organizer can be in the draw too. That is the single most requested thing in any gift exchange.
Exclusions and wishlists
Keep couples, siblings and last year's pairs apart before you draw. After the draw, each participant can write a short wishlist on their own page – only the person who drew them sees it.
Private and temporary
We store the names you type and any wishlists, nothing else, and delete everything 60 days after the exchange date. No account, no app, no ads inside the exchange.
FAQ
- Can the generator pick someone's own name?
- No. The circle structure makes self-draws impossible.
- Can the organizer take part?
- Yes. The full pairing list is never shown to anyone, so whoever sets it up stays unspoiled.
- What if someone joins late?
- Add them after the draw. They slot into the circle, one person gets a new name, and the page tells you who to inform.
- Do people need accounts?
- No. Everyone opens a link in a browser, and that is it.
- What happens to the names afterwards?
- They are deleted automatically 60 days after the exchange date.
