Draw names online

The hat, without the hat. Type everyone's name, press draw, and the circle is decided in one go – no one draws themselves, no one is left holding their own name, and you can take part yourself because nobody sees the full result.

1. Your group

2. Participants

0 participants · At least 3 names. You can add yourself too.

3. Who should not draw each other (optional)

For couples, siblings, or people who always end up with each other.

4. How to share the links

I will share the links myself

You get one private link per person to send on WhatsApp, Messenger or anywhere else. No email addresses needed.

Email everyoneAdd an email after a name (Nora, nora@mail.com) and we send that person their link automatically.

How the draw works

Everyone goes into one closed circle: the first person gives to the second, the second to the third, and the last one gives back to the first. That structure is why the draw never fails the way folded papers do – there is no second round, no awkward redraw because the last two people pulled each other.

The order of that circle is shuffled on our server with the same random number generator browsers use for cryptography, not with a shortcut based on the clock. Nothing about the result depends on the order you typed the names in.

Everyone gets their own link

Instead of showing one big list, the draw produces one private link per person. Send them by email, or copy them all as a single message and share them in the group chat. Each link opens a page with one name on it – the person you are giving to – plus the budget, the date and any note you added.

This is what lets the organizer play too. There is no page, anywhere, that shows who drew whom.

Keeping couples apart

Before drawing, mark any pair that should not be matched: partners who live together, siblings, two people who drew each other last year. The draw respects every rule you set, and tells you plainly if the rules make a valid circle impossible instead of quietly ignoring one.

Latecomers and reminders

Your organizer page shows who has opened their link, so you can nudge the two people who have not instead of asking the whole group. If someone joins after the draw, add them: they slot into the circle, one existing person gets a new name, and the page tells you exactly who to inform. Everything is deleted automatically 60 days after the exchange date.

FAQ

Can I draw names without everyone's email address?
Yes. Switch to link mode and you only type first names; you share one private link per person however you like.
Can the organizer take part?
Yes, and that is the point of doing it this way. The full pairing list is never shown to anyone.
How many names can I draw?
From three people up to large groups. Three is the minimum for a circle where nobody gets themselves.
Is it really free?
Yes, and there is no account to create. No names are ever sold or used for advertising.
Can I redraw?
Yes – delete the group and draw again. Links from the old draw stop working immediately.
